Rescheduling Policy:
We understand that life happens, and there may be unscheduled events that prevent you from attending your registered course. That being said, we can not be responsible for reminder emails, etc that went to the recipient spam folder. Please understand that late cancellations create slots in our courses which are difficult to fill.
Courses are more productive with more students. Classmates depend on others to be there to enhance their learning experience. By taking a roster slot, others are not able to register for a course that may be listed as full. Our policies were developed with fairness to the student AND instructor in mind.
For online learning courses with skills checks:
Online course fees are non-refundable.
Your skills session date may be rescheduled if needed, with adequate notice, at least 72 hours for skills checks.
Reschedules within 72 hours of the skills check time will be assessed a $40 fee. “No shows" who do not notify us within 24 hours of the skills check time will need to re-register and pay for another skills session. Those more than 10 minutes late will also need to re-register.
Skills checks must be completed within 60 days of online course completion. This is AHA policy.
Skill check registrations will only be completed if the course fee is paid in full. For those who do not pay the course fee online in advance, a seat in the skills check will not be reserved.
For open Classroom Courses:
Your class date may be rescheduled if needed, with adequate notice, 7 days for classroom courses. Reschedules inside 7 days will be assessed a $40 fee per student.
We will be unable to alter any registrations or fees less than 72 hours in advance. Those unable to attend their scheduled course will need to re-register and pay for another course. This includes "no shows." Those more than 15 minutes late will also need to re-register.
Classroom course registrations will only be completed if the course fee is paid in full. For those who do not pay the course fee online in advance, a seat in the classroom will not be reserved.
For on-site and private courses:
Your class date may be rescheduled if needed, with adequate notice, 7 days before your scheduled course. Reschedules inside 7 days will be assessed a $20 fee per student.
Late additions are generally welcome, please contact us as soon as possible with add-ons. Un-announced add-ons are difficult to accomodate and will be billed the full/non-contracted rate.
Alterations to the names on the course roster may be made without charge until 72 hours in advance of course time.
We will be unable to alter any registrations or fees less than 72 hours in advance. This includes "no shows," and those more than 15 minutes late- who will be billed the full amount.
We will need the full names and valid email for the participants in advance for card generation. The name as registered will be the exact name on your card.
For onsite and private courses, payment is due upon course completion unless prior arrangements have been made.
Cancellation Policy:
Client cancellation:
Students may request removal from the roster of any course or skills session with full fees refunded (minus any online course fees) at any time greater than 7 days out from their course. Cancellations between 7 days and 72 hours of course time will be assessed a $40 fee. No refund may be given within 72 hours of course time.
Low enrollment cancellation:
Although we make every effort to promote all classes scheduled, Carpenter CPR reserves the right to cancel a class due to low enrollment. In case of a class cancellation, any student who has paid for his/her class will have the option of rescheduling into another scheduled class at no additional charge, or receiving a full refund. A minimum of 4 students are needed to get most courses started. Textbooks and any online course fees can not be refunded.
Emergency cancellation:
Every effort will be made to notify participants. All fees will be fully refunded if Carpenter CPR Solutions cancels a program (due to weather or other emergency), or the student will be offered enrollment into the next available course, or online course. Carpenter CPR will notify students of cancellations via email as soon as possible.
In the event of weather or other emergency, we often follow in line with Frederick Community College's cancellations. Note that this is not ALWAYS the case. For late openings, or early closings, your course time may need to be moved to another time to ensure safety. Your instructor will contact you to arrange an appropriate time.
AHA card re-issues:
Unfortunately, AHA cards are a significant expense to us. For previously issued paper cards, AHA cards may be re-issued after verification of course completion in our system. The fee is $30. Please contact us for this service. For e-cards, simply log back on to AHA's system and re-print your card.
