FAQ:
I need to re-print my E-card. How do I do that?
A card MUST be claimed by accessing the email link the first time. Once the card has been claimed once, you can reprint it at the link: https://ahainstructornetwork.americanheart.org/AHAECARD/ecard.jsp?pid=ahaecard.employerStudentSearch# Enter first and last name, email, then answer your security question. The best way to access your card is to find the email from no-eccreply@heart.org and click on that link, which will take you right to it.
I found an online only course on the internet with no skills check. What's the difference?
NONE of those services provide an actual American Heart Association card. Please check out our online scam warning page.
I would like to arrange a full classroom course for my office. How is this done?
We would be happy to help. Simply contact us, and we will respond the same day.
I do not see a sign up for the online portion of the courses. Where is that?
The online portion may be purchased separately directly from the American Heart Association. Please see the online learning tab for details on how to sign up for the online portion of e-learning courses. To sign up for the skills check session, go to the course calendar. We suggest giving yourself 3-4 hours for basic life support and Heartsaver courses online, and up to twelve hours for the ACLS online portion. (These usually usually take just 1-2 for basic courses and 6-8 for ACLS.) Skills checks typically take 30 minutes or so.

Yes, all of our CPR courses teach adult, child and infant CPR.
How do I know which course I need?

What are Heartsaver® Courses?
The Heartsaver® courses (including CPR, and a separate First Aid course) are designed as employee training for individuals, company departments and entire workplaces. These courses can be taught with or without an online component. The course offers certificates for individuals, and for people who need the certificate for job or regulatory requirements. These courses are generally not for medical professionals.
I am a student going into the medical field. Which course do I need?
You will need a Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers course.
I want to take an online course because of the convenience, but I am nervous that I won't get a lot of hands on practice. How do I know I will be able to really perform the techniques?
We understand your concern. Rest assured that the skills check session can include plenty of practice time. We want you comfortable with lifesaving skills. We actually find that students get more out of performing the skills once the knowledge is gained through the online content.
