All student cards will be transitioned to electronic cards over the next couple of years. Students can claim their cards after successful course completion once the instructor has assigned the card to the student.
To claim the card, the student will need to log onto the Heart Association site by following a link in an email sent to them. They will then fill out a short course survey, and will then be able to see and print their card. Card numbers can also be verified as needed by employers.
E-cards prevent fraud, as well as provide the ability to re-print lost cards by the student. Incorrect names can be corrected as well by the instructor.
